News on Harmone Thearpy

Hello ladies, I Recently went to the doctor to find out why I've gained a lot of weight, having hot flashes and massive night sweats...I mean where I wake up twice during the night to change my shirt. The Breaking News: when you don't have any of your female organs you don't need a hormone replacement that contains progesterone because it can cause weight gain and literally overpower the estrogen. So, yes I'll be changing hopefully by the next two weeks to only estrogen. It was told that women don't usually have to worry about progesterone until mid to late 50's or even older. Ladies....no progesterone in your hormone replacement, have blood work done to see if your progesterone is low, no birth control as a hormone therapy replacement it severs no purpose... I'll post a weekly journal for the first three months to tell you if I notice a difference and how I'm feeling. Ok ladies, love you and be good to you for you're your biggest cheerleader in this fight!

Continuation of Recovering after a hysterectomy

Theses steps will help you through a speedy recovery:
1: no baths for about three to four weeks(you don't water seeping in your incision or vagina)
2: no heavy lifting until your surgeon clears you which should be around four weeks from date of surgery
3: when showering ask doctor for plastic sealants so no water seeps through incision(only if your surgery was done with a bikini cut)
4: rest as much as possible(limit to much exertion for about a week or two
5: listen to your body
6: no bending so have someone around to assist with that
7: avoid foods that produce to much gas or can cause constipation f
8: lastly remember you're not alone in this battle
